Mormon Arts and Letters plans to publish 2 to 4 titles or works of art each year.

Authors interested in submitting manuscripts for consideration should first send a query letter, including a 1 page overview of their work, a 1-2 page outline or table of contents and a description of the target audience for the work. Do NOT send manuscripts unless requested! Unsolicited manuscripts will either be rejected prior to receipt (when the delivery service allows) or discarded unread.

Queries may also be sent through e-mail. Queries sent by e-mail must be in plain text (no formatting) in the body of the message. Please do not send your query as an attachment. Attachments are not opened due to e-mail viruses.

Queries should be limited to the type of works that Mormon Arts and Letters publishes. These include Art, Music and works of high artistic merit; unusual or literary fiction and thoughtful or unusual essays.

Mormon Arts and Letters does not publish works of doctrine or genre fiction (historical novels, romances, science fiction, etc.) Another Nauvoo Books imprint, Mormon News Books, is interested in Reference works, current events, and in non-Utah histories and biographies. Both imprints are interested in foreign works and in translations.
